Progress You Can See, Every Term
Cueword is new, so we won't ask you to take our word for it. Every term has two assessments and a live Showcase, and it all comes together in your term reports.

What Changes for Your Child
The skill school tests but rarely has time to teach.
Cueword coaches all five communication skills together, inside the stories your child picks.
Listening Comprehension
Hearing a story or passage closely, then talking about what happened and why.
Reading Comprehension
Reading closely, finding the evidence, and reading aloud so a listener stays with them.
Speaking
Retelling, explaining and giving a view in full sentences, with the coach and at the Showcase.
Writing
Pieces that describe, explain and persuade, written with a clear point.
Vocabulary
New words met in the story, worked out from the scene, then used in your child's own sentences.
Confidence
The skill that gets your child heard: speaking up, writing with a point, holding the floor.
Measured, Not Guessed
Set the baseline
The free Cueword evaluation gives an overall score, five skill gauges, three insights, a learning plan and a curriculum placement, the same day.
Follow every class
After every class, the coach sends you a class summary in the Cueword Parent app: the story, the skill and how it went. Your child moves up a level only once they've shown the skill.
Check what's mastered
Twice a term, at mid-term and at the end, an assessment on listening comprehension, reading comprehension and vocabulary shows what's secure in each and what's still developing.
Perform, then report
The term ends in a live Showcase in your presence. Your term reports bring it together: the assessments, the Showcase, your coach's feedback and a plan for next term.
What You See as a Parent
You never have to wonder if it's working. Here's what reaches you every term.
Parent Coach Meetings
Two meetings with the coach every term, on progress and what's next.
The Cueword Parent App
Chat with the coach, see the schedule, cancel a class if plans change, and follow your child's progress.

The Research Behind 1:1 Coaching
In 1984, education researcher Benjamin Bloom compared students tutored one-on-one with students taught in a classroom. The tutored students did about two standard deviations better: the average tutored student outperformed about 98% of the classroom group.
Bloom called it the "2 sigma problem". It's why every Cueword class is live and one-on-one.
Live and 1:1
One coach, one child, two live sessions a week.
Same Coach All Term
No time lost re-explaining who your child is or where they got to.
Cue, Don't Tell
The coach asks the right question, so your child works it out and does most of the talking.

See Where Your Child Stands Today
